The Rehabilitation Clinic for Patients with Spinal Cord Injury is an independent University Clinic and was formally established in 2010 (Government Gazette 1091, 19.7.2010) in the Department of Medicine, Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Patras to serve educational, research and nursing needs in the field of rehabilitation of patients with Spinal Cord Injury.
The establishment and ongoing development of a specialized rehabilitation clinic for patients with spinal cord injuries and its access for everyone.

The funding and construction of this 3,000,000 € budget project was entirely by renowned naval architect, mechanic Dimitrios Sfikas with the support of his wife Mrs. Vera Sfika, President of the German School in Athens. It was delivered in the state ready for operation in 2011 with the most stringent specifications and standards of the universities of Munich and Hamburg.
